At T3 Security, giving back to the local community is more than a value, it’s something we actively put into practice. This June, that commitment came to life when members of our office team volunteered their time at Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter, helping to support the incredible work they do for animals in need across the region.
Our fantastic team Alicia, Jen, Megan and Susan rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in, joining other corporate volunteers to make a real, hands-on difference. From cleaning and maintenance tasks to spending quality time with the animals, every effort played a part in creating a safe, warm and welcoming environment for dogs and cats waiting patiently for their forever homes.
Volunteering days like this are vital for charities such as Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter. With so many animals arriving through their doors each year, the shelter relies heavily on community and corporate support to keep its facilities running smoothly. Our team helped with essential behind-the-scenes tasks that ensure the shelter remains a clean, calm and comfortable place, something that has a huge impact on animal wellbeing and adoption outcomes.
Alongside the practical work, one of the most rewarding aspects of the day was simply spending time with the animals. Offering comfort, interaction and care helps reduce stress for dogs and cats while they wait for adoption, and it’s an experience that left a lasting impression on everyone involved. Moments like these are a powerful reminder of how small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference.
We’re also incredibly proud to have contributed to a wider corporate volunteering effort that helped raise an impressive £11,793 this year in support of the shelter’s ongoing work. These funds play a crucial role in covering veterinary care, food, housing and rehabilitation for animals who need it most, and it’s inspiring to be part of a collective effort that delivers such a positive outcome.
At T3 Security, we believe that being a responsible business goes beyond delivering professional security services. It means supporting the communities we work in, encouraging our team to get involved, and using our time and resources to create positive change wherever possible. Volunteering opportunities like this allow our staff to connect, give back, and represent the company with compassion and dedication — values we’re proud to stand behind.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter for welcoming our team and for the incredible work they carry out day in, day out. Their dedication to animal welfare across Newcastle and the surrounding areas is truly inspiring, and we’re grateful to have played a small part in supporting their mission.
Well done to Alicia, Jen, Megan and Susan for representing T3 Security so brilliantly, and we’re already looking forward to getting involved again in 2026.
